Cain Besse
As Associate Advisor at Wealth Strategy Group, Cain serves business owners, families, and individuals who have built meaningful wealth. The client side of these decisions is something he’s experienced firsthand. With more than a decade in executive leadership at BFP Management, Inc., his family's business, he helped lead a manufacturer with more than 300 employees and eight locations, selling to clients on five continents. As President, he oversaw financial performance and board reporting and helped guide the company's sale to a private equity buyer. He has also managed commercial and residential real estate investments. That experience brings a practical understanding of what owners carry: building a business, navigating its daily opportunities and complexities, preparing for a transition or sale, and deciding what comes next for their wealth and family. Cain began his career at Janus Henderson Investors (NYSE: JHG) in Chicago and earned an MBA in Finance from Loyola University Chicago and a B.S. in Personal Financial Planning and Economics from Northern Michigan University, both with honors. He also holds his FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses through LPL Financial the CAIA Real Estate Certificate.
Being trusted with other people's resources is not new to Cain. As Treasurer and Secretary of the Northern Michigan University Foundation Board of Trustees and Vice President of the John and Melissa Besse Foundation, he helps steward funds meant to serve others. He is a contributing member and youth mentor in his faith community and holds USA Hockey's Level 5 Master Coach certification. Home is Marquette, where he lives with his wife, Corinne, and son, Rory. Outside the office, you'll find the family outdoors, especially mountain biking, running, skiing, camping, and beekeeping.
